Feelings

Hello, it is me, Little Chicken again.

I hope you enjoyed my first blog, and I was wondering if you have any questions, anything that is on your heart. I will answer your questions if you will leave a comment, I want to be friends with you.

You know what? All I used to do was keep everything to myself. Then I realized if I don't share my feelings with anybody, it didn't feel good. When I heard that my birth father didn't want me with him in Ethiopia I was so mad and sad. Now, I am so glad he said that because I realize that this is where I am meant to be, here in America.

I know I want to go back and visit Ethiopia. I have so many plans and so many dreams for my country. I want to help my people. That is what this blog is about.

I pray all the time. I know it's easier to listen to the bad stuff, instead of the good things that God tells us to do. But, you know, when you spend time with God more and more everyday, he answers you! He really does! You should pray everyday, I know He will answer you. First, you should invite him into your heart and your life.

Thanks for reading my blog. God bless you, and see you next time!

Ciao!

P.S. On my blog, there is a followers section to the right hand side. Would you please click that button to become a follower? Thank you!

I am looking forward to hearing more about your story.

Do you have any advice for parents of adopted children?

  2. Hi Kathryn,
Thank you for your kind comments
    You asked a good question.
I think to be a good parent, you need to like what your child likes. For example, you should like the country they come from. If you don't like their country, you will probably not like them either.

I think it's also important to adopt a different age then the other children in your home. That is especially important to girls.

You need to listen to your children!

And if their parents have died, you need to understand that they don't think like other children. You need to let them tell all their stories. And sometimes they just want to be alone, you should let them have some time by themselves.

I also think you should not be really bossy because a lot of kids like me have never had any rules and they don't understand. And instead of punishing them, try to understand them more.

And PLEASE never, ever mention about running away!

Then you will have a great and wonderful family and you will all live happily ever after. =-)
